Starting Up
Those of you who know me won't be too surprised to discover that the New Year was ushered in with plenty of cheer (in other words, alcohol). The evening started soberly, as I had volunteered to pick a friend up from the Sydney CBD, but when she phoned to say that she had managed to organise another lift, I set forth on a mission to make up for any lost time. The fireworks were pretty spectacular, but the disco ball (at least from our view) was something of a dud - apparently, it got lost in the smoke from the fireworks! The days following were a mixture of relaxation including:- Swimming at the local aquatic centre
- Doing some shopping for under-stair storage furniture at IKEA
- Having a farewell dinner with Robin, Robbie & Tara who are returning to NZ on Friday
